Weekly Prayer #53

Friendships

Recently I recalled the most beautiful and powerful scene I have ever seen: a person shared a deep fear, and as tears fell from that person's eyes, rain began to fall from heaven. Instead of seeking shelter, friends circled around that person in the rain, taking turns to pray for comfort and supernatural peace, encourage with truth and hope. Together they stood in the rain until the last word of prayer had been uttered.

This is the 53rd weekly prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for the friendships I have seen, and thanks for your grace that I can see You in them. I pray for more people in this city can enjoy this kind of friendships, to realize that true friends are "use"less, and pure friendship are like the fireplace in the cold winter, like the vanila ice cream in the hot summer.

Thank You once again for being my best friend, may more and more people become Your friends in this city. Please don't let the coldness and numbness of death spread out among people, please bring us the warmth and compassion to make this city alive.

May the dry bones come alive.

In Jesus’ precious and mighty name, I pray and receive.

Amen.
